Rothwell Heritage Centre serves as a point of reference for local history information, with regular displays and exhibitions of local interest, made up from our extensive archive of heritage items, photographs and documents.

The first floor houses 'The Janet Bassett Gallery' showcasing the work of local artists and crafters. The displays in both the museum and galleries are changed regularly. 

We have permanent displays of the Rothwell boot & shoe industry, social history and another of the multi talented Rothwell born actor, singer/songwriter, 'Carry On' star and Broadway entertainer Jim Dale MBE.
