Local Artist required to design and create a vessel to contain a museum loans resource.

Rothwell Heritage with Desborough and Rothwell Art Gallery, North Northamptonshire, is looking to commission an artist to design and create a vessel to house and carry a loans resource of period and replica items and an activity pack.

The title of the project is ‘Evacuation in Rothwell’.

The successful artist will:
• create a vessel that reflects the drama and history contents
• create a vessel that helps interpret the contained objects
• be asked to consider evacuation in the local area
• be challenged to develop a resource with a unique sense of place
• creates a vessel that is innovative, exciting and enthuses the local community to interact with their history
• challenge the expectations of those using it
