The
End Of Building Work...
Some Centre Improvements, and The Start Of Garden Work!
We are pleased to say that the building
work that began in
January has now been completed. we have turned the outside building
and pigsty into usable office / workshop space. So if you know of anyone
in the creative industries or other local business who may like to
rent one of the three bright inspiring rooms, please ask them to get
in touch wirh Barnes Noble Edwards, our letting agents.

Our large garden is now getting it's own facelift. We are landscaping
away the lumps and bumps, so we can lay an exciting patio design. Janet
Bassett's design caught our trustees's eye, so we shall have a cheesboard
style patio, surrounded by flowerbeds and an area with hopscotch and
skittles. This will let us use and enjoy the garden much more than
ever before.
Now we are fully damp proofed inside, we can begin to think about improving
our displays. At the end of June we happily had a new lighting system
fitted. This improves the adjustability of our lighting, making it
more useful when displaying different items or when hosting events.
We are very happy that we've been able to install clear anti-UV measures
on the heritage windows. Just like a pair of sunglasses, this will
protect our town's treasures from sun damage.

Storage Success!
I am very happy to announce that we have been successful in another grant
application. This one will enable us to purchase a digital system
to help catalogue our large collection of local heritage items.
After photographing every item donated, the system will allow easy
searching, which will make answering public enquiries and creating
displays far more efficient. Items will then be packed in new museum
quality storage materials, to ensure they receive the best care
and conditions possible. Work on this project will begin in the
late summer.
