		Stella Benford For as long as I can remember I have painted , never had any serious training but was at Tresham College for art and later, pottery.............As my family grew up, I became more interested in 3D, and after training I became resident potter at Wickseed Park for nearly 20 happy years ............ I have had numerous joint and one woman exhibitions around the county.. Alfred East, The Castle Northampton Museum Art & Gallery.Chichele, Desborough and Rothwell Arts & Heritage Centre.etc. and the Alfred East Art Gallery	I mostly paint in oils ..........,figurative work,especially portraits , also like still life, enjoying the textures of old salt glazed pottery,old stone walls or fruit etc............I also love painting landscapes I use photographs, but prefer painting on site.(weather permitting)
			At the moment I am experimenting with papier mache' ...
