Jean Webb is a Botanical Illustrator,
exhibiting in the small exhibition room from April 7th - 26th

I started painting in 2001, and soon realised, being a lover of nature, that although I appreciated most art forms, I preferred watercolour paintings of Botanical Art.


'Oak with Acorns – Quercus robur'

I have exhibited with L.S.B.I. (Leicestershire Society of Botanical Illustrators) on many occasions since then, one of which was in 2005 when we exhibited as a group at The Royal Horticultural Society, Westmister, London, with a series of watercolour paintings depicting Heritage Vegetables. We were awarded a Silver Medal.
On the strength of this I decided to exhibit at RHS in London, as an individual, and after two years work, growing plants, drawing and painting, I exhibited in November 2007, with a series of watercolour paintings of Heritage Peas – I was awarded a Silver Gilt Medal.
These paintings are included in my exhibition, along with many others, and also a wide variety of greeting cards are for sale.
